Description

The Senior Project Architect is responsible for leading the planning, design, execution, and delivery of architectural scope relating to the Stibnite Gold Project. This role ensures that the specific scope is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with regulatory, environmental, and operational standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Requirements

Specific Accountabilities

· Help lead end-to-end engineering/architecture and construction project lifecycle from concept through commissioning.

· Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.

· Coordinate architectural design work, technical studies, and feasibility assessments.

· Ensure project documentation, drawings, specifications, and design packages are complete and accurate.

· Provide advanced architectural support across mine infrastructure and processing facilities,

· Conduct technical analyses, equipment evaluations, and optimization studies.

· Support the integration of new technologies to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.

· Ensure all project work aligns with MSHA/OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.

· Manage permitting and environmental compliance requirements as needed.

· Work closely with operations, maintenance, environmental, finance, and executive leadership.

· Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to stakeholders through regular reporting.

· Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

· Monitor project costs, forecast expenditures, and maintain accurate reporting.

· Identify and mitigate cost overruns, delays, and technical challenges.

· Drive continuous improvement in project processes and execution strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil engineering (or related).

· 7–10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in mining or heavy industrial environments.

· Proven experience managing capital projects of varying size and complexity.

· Experienced in the delivery of Architectural projects specifically relating to mine support and administration buildings.

· Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and engineering standards.

· Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

· Professional registration as an Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (P.E.).

· Cold Regions design course in accordance with the state of Alaska 12 AAC 36.110.

· Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP certification a plus).

· Experience working in remote or camp-based mining operations.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· General work is in an office environment but must be able to travel as needed.

Logistics:

This position can be based at Perpetua Resource’s Headquarters in Boise, Idaho combined with the potential for remote work. Travel will be necessary, as construction advances to the Stibnite mine site.
