Senior Project Manager

Job Description Senior Project Manager We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a cloud modernization and artificial intelligence initiative within a public sector organization. This role will focus on planning, coordinating, developing, documenting, and delivering multiple artificial intelligence, cloud platform, and enterprise messaging projects from analysis through implementation. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure project objectives align with enterprise goals, manage dependencies and risks, and drive successful outcomes through clear communication and structured governance. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and maintaining relationships with team members, vendors, and departments. Responsibilities include compiling project charters and business plans, managing project resources and governance, documenting business requirements, developing IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, producing deliverables for steering committees and stakeholders, managing client relationships, and providing leadership on change management and communication. The role requires working knowledge of IT infrastructure environments, change management frameworks, user acceptance testing, and a sound understanding of organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications - 10 years of experience developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimating resource requirements, developing and monitoring work plans for completion of project tasks - 10 years of experience identifying, analyzing, and managing project risks on large, complex projects - 5 years of experience implementing cloud based projects and services with large scale cloud providers - University graduation in business, management, or related discipline and 8 years of project management experience; OR two-year diploma in business, management, or related discipline and 10 years of project management experience; OR one-year certificate in business, management, or related discipline and 11 years of project management experience; OR 12 years of project management experience Required Certifications PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Nice to Have - 10 years of demonstrated ability to develop and deliver targeted communications and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives - 7 years of experience understanding the impact of policies, processes, and procedures on performance - 5 years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels - 5 years of demonstrated experience leading large enterprise-scale projects and programs using Agile and waterfall methodologies, establishing governance frameworks such as RACI, managing RAID elements (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), overseeing vendors and external service providers, and driving stakeholder alignment through effective communication - 5 years of experience applying security controls in project solutions and designs including Information Act, STRA, PIA, POPA, and HIA - 5 years of experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning - 2 years of experience implementing artificial intelligence projects and services for large scale organizations - 5 years of experience with process improvement, documentation, and requirement gathering - 7 years of experience working in or for the public sector This is a remote position.
