Bridging Legacy Infrastructure to Modern Cloud & AI Systems 🚀

A fast-growing, publicly listed system modernization company in Tokyo is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Business Development Lead to drive strategic client expansion, solution planning, and high-impact digital transformation (DX) initiatives.

Specializing in replacing legacy mission-critical environments (such as core banking systems) with cloud-native architectures and AI technologies, this company has expanded its revenue nearly 4.6x over the last 4 years and recently listed on the TSE Growth Market.

What You’ll Do

• Solution Strategy & Business Development: Spearhead the planning and execution of managed services across Data & Analytics Platforms, Cyber Security (Privileged Access Management), and Public Cloud (AWS).
• Enterprise Client Expansion: Lead new account acquisition and cross-selling into top-tier accounts across Financial Services (megabanks, regional banks, insurance), Telecom, Public Sector, and Manufacturing.
• RFP & Proposal Leadership: Manage cross-functional proposal teams (~15 members, including engineers and partners) for large-scale, complex enterprise bids (RFI/RFP).
• Project Governance & PMO: Act as a PMO lead for post-award delivery, participating in upstream engineering phases and steering complex projects to completion.
• Engineering Feedback Loop: Work closely with technical teams to feed customer insights into the product and engineering roadmaps.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ Years of Experience: Proven background in solution sales, business development, or solution architecture in the IT industry.
• Financial Sector Expertise: Deep domain knowledge and executive networks across Megabanks, Regional Banks, or Insurance providers.
• Solution & Proposal Track Record: Demonstrated success leading major proposals in multiple of the following domains:
• Public Cloud: AWS migration, Lift & Shift, shared VPC architectures.
• Data Analytics Platforms: Snowflake, Qlik, Amazon Redshift, etc.
• Cybersecurity: Privileged Access / ID Management (e.g., CyberArk).
• Mindset: Strong ownership, engineering-first culture fit, and ability to convert complex technology into business value.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with mission-critical banking domains (core banking systems, market risk management).
• Background in ERP package solutions (e.g., SAP).
• Multi-cloud awareness (AWS, GCP, Azure) and global/bilingual business communication skills.
