As part of vector8’s continued expansion in Switzerland, we are hiring for a Senior Project Manager to join our established delivery function in Zurich.
In this role you will lead complex AI projects into production. Working across all phases, from planning to go-live you will serve as the delivery backbone, leveraging your skills and experience to connect strategic priorities, technical feasibility, and execution excellence, providing ownership, structure, and the ability to align business goals with technical realities.
We’re looking for a client-facing professional who can confidently steer engagements - shaping scope, managing change, and turning client needs into practical outcomes. Strong consulting skills, technical understanding, AI fluency, and clear communication are central to the role. A solid foundation of relevant experience is important, but beyond that baseline, we value your skills, adaptability, and mindset more than years in the field.

Over the past 2-4 years, you’ve actively developed your knowledge of modern AI - including generative AI, RAG and agents - and understand what it takes to deliver these solutions into production.
- At least 5 years’ experience leading client-facing, cross-functional, technology-enabled projects, ideally in a consultancy, agency or systems integrator.
- A proven track record of managing complex client engagements end-to-end, from scoping and planning through implementation and go-live.
- A strong working knowledge of modern AI, including generative AI, RAG and agents, and an understanding of what it takes to move AI solutions from pilots or prototypes into production. Hands-on coding is not required.
- A solid grasp of Agile and more traditional project management approaches, with the judgement to apply methods such as Scrum, Kanban, PRINCE2 or PMI standards as appropriate.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- An excellent team player with a servant leader mindset, who is focused on removing impediments for the team.
- A good technical understanding of data pipelines, AI models and cloud platforms, with the ability to connect technical considerations to business needs.
- Familiarity with the Swiss enterprise environment. Experience in banking or insurance is highly desirable; an established network in these sectors is a plus.
- Willingness to work onsite with clients when needed, primarily at locations within Switzerland.
- Fluency in German and English; French is an advantage.
- Lead AI projects end-to-end, from scoping through to go-live.
- Act as a trusted delivery partner and primary point of contact for stakeholders, aligning expectations, facilitating decisions and shaping roadmaps that connect business priorities with technical realities.
- Establish delivery plans, governance and controls to manage timelines, budgets and scope.
- Track project budgets and burn-down, monitor delivery milestones, and provide clear, timely reporting on progress, forecasts, risks and variances.
- Lead day-to-day execution, resolve blockers and maintain momentum across teams.
- Raise emerging risks, delivery challenges and misalignment with client stakeholders early and candidly, leading constructive conversations and agreeing on actions before issues escalate.
- Take a hands-on role in delivery, from defining requirements to advising clients.
- Partner closely with technology and strategy leads to shape feasible, high-quality solutions.
- Support pre-sales with delivery approaches, effort estimates and robust project plans.
- Be a core member of the delivery team, always improving delivery practices and contributing to the development of internal standards.
