Job Type: Full-Time l Location: Childress, TX l Department: Data Center Delivery l Reporting to: Project Director | Work Location Type: #hybrid
IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and power in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager owns one or more specific trades within a data center building – for example electrical (MV/LV distribution, generators, UPS), mechanical (chillers, CRAHs, piping), civil/structural, or controls – from front-end engineering and constructability through sourcing, contracting, construction, commissioning and handover. The Senior Project Manager is the single owner of schedule, cost, quality and coordination for those trades and gives day-to-day direction to the Project Manager supporting the building.
With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

- Manage change orders within delegated authority and drive change-order cycle time; maintain accurate records of resources used and work completed.
- Establish measurable KPIs for subcontractors and suppliers on assigned trades.
- Drive non-conformance close-out and defect rectification prior to completion, and manage defects within the defect liability period for each contractor.
- Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, under their management are inducted and trained in line with company requirements.
- Comply with IREN’s Risk, QA and HSE management systems; drive for zero harm and act as a role model for a positive HSE culture on site.
- Own commissioning readiness for assigned trades, including vendor start-up, integrated systems testing participation and open-issue closure.

- Take a professional leadership approach to contractor interactions; keep stakeholders informed and engaged; strengthen relationships with contractors, vendors, utilities and local government.
- Collaborate closely with IREN construction managers, procurement managers and engineering teams with a team-first, project-first mentality.
- Give day-to-day direction to the Project Manager(s) supporting assigned trades, including performance feedback and an agreed trade development plan.
- Identify gaps in project team resourcing and work with the Project Director to resolve workload allocation and staffing.
