Overview ●The CAO Office is instrumental in driving change across the organization and comprises of the Enterprise Project Management Office Group and the Change Management Group. It supports CAO in leading and executing enterprise transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, scalability, and long-term business growth. These may include, among others, cross-functional, cross-regional or global programs such as optimization of the firm’s operating model, deployment of new business platforms, development and coordination of the firm’s digital/AI strategy, and team transitions. The CAO Office also supports the integration and operational alignment of the firm’s joint ventures. ●This hybrid role combines project management leadership within the EPMO and change management expertise, ensuring both delivery excellence and successful business adoption across the organisation. Duties and Responsibilities: ●Project / Programme Management (Primary Focus) Lead and deliver strategic transformation initiatives under the EPMO framework, ensuring structured execution and measurable outcomes Define project scope, governance, timelines, and success metrics, establishing clear delivery accountability from initiation through completion Balance multiple projects by coordinating with business partners, external vendors, SMEs, and stakeholders Ensure alignment with organisational priorities and stakeholder expectations through disciplined planning and proactive stakeholder management Drive execution discipline through robust reporting, risk and issue management, and governance forums Ensure successful implementation by embedding delivery standards, monitoring progress, and addressing execution gaps Support operational readiness by validating that solutions are fully implemented, transitioned, and sustainable post-delivery ●Change Management (Secondary / Dotted Line) Support the CAO in providing business change leadership for transformation programs. Conduct Business Impact Assessments, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, and articulate key benefits/deliverables with impacted stakeholders. Define and drive a strategy/approach for specific transformation initiatives, balancing various requirements and ensuring alignments with the firm’s strategic priorities. Drive stakeholder engagement across Japan and global teams to build awareness, support adoption, and mobilise the organization. Collaborate with business partners to confirm acceptance of new requirements and/or technology, and to ensure operational readiness. Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies, coordinate the adoption of new technology by identifying use cases, raising awareness through information sharing, and suggesting practical solutions. Knowledge and Skills ●Good understanding of the asset management industry, knowledge of the regulatory environment and industry trends (including digital). ●Proven ability to lead projects across the asset management value chain. ●Ability to write business requirement specifications and develop requirement analysis frameworks. ●Ability to operate across the full asset management value chain. ●Working knowledge across multiple areas, as applicable, including investment asset classes, portfolio management, performance and attribution, risk modeling, trade execution and other buy-side trade lifecycle and monitoring processes. ●Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese. ●Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement. ●Strong analytical and numeracy skills. Experience and Qualification ●Degree in business, finance, engineering, technology, or related field. ●5+ years of relevant work experience in program management, business analysis, change management or equivalent roles, preferably at an asset management or financial services firm. ●Hands-on experience in a specific functional area across the asset management value chain is a plus. ●Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Copilot) ●Familiarity with different business and investment applications is advantageous.
