Job ID: 6874
This is a senior role for an experienced project leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and wants to play a meaningful part in shaping the future of post-trade infrastructure across the Nordics. You will join Nordea's Trading & Custody Services (TCS) and take end-to-end ownership of large-scale project and migration initiatives — spanning regulatory, market-mandatory and strategic change programmes across the Nordic post-trade landscape. This is not an entry-level or mid-level position; we are looking for someone who has been here before — someone who has led complex, multi-stakeholder programmes in financial services and knows how to navigate ambiguity, drive delivery and keep senior forums informed and aligned.
About our team
You will be part of the Projects, Portfolio & Business Analyses team within TCS Business Technology — a cross-border team of senior project managers and business analysts responsible for driving large-scale regulatory and market-mandatory change across the Nordics.
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.
The immediate focus of the role is leading one or more migration related projects within the post-trade area. You will have full end-to-end accountability — from planning and execution through to cut-over and stabilisation. Beyond the project work, you will contribute to the broader TCS change agenda, which covers some of the most significant regulatory and infrastructure shifts affecting Nordic capital markets in the coming years.
The role can be based in Poland (Warszawa, Łódź, Gdynia), Finland (Helsinki), Norway (Oslo) or Sweden (Gothenburg, Stockholm).
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Leading end-to-end post-trade migration initiatives with full accountability for delivery, risk and stakeholder alignment
- Driving complex, large-scale projects in line with the TCS change roadmap and regulatory timelines
- Acting as a senior, active member of a cross-border change team
- Establishing strong governance structures, managing risks and dependencies, and reporting transparently to senior forums
Who you are
We are looking for a seasoned project leader — someone with deep experience in financial services and a genuine understanding of the securities and post-trade space.
Your background and skills include:
- Extensive experience of leading complex, large-scale change initiatives end-to-end, ideally within financial service
- A strong track record in regulatory or market-mandatory projects
- Solid knowledge of securities markets, custody and post-trade processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including at senior level
- Experience working in cross-border or multi-country environments
- A real understanding of the regulatory, market infrastructure and industry transformation trends shaping capital markets over the coming years — and what they mean for financial institutions
- The ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans
