Senior Python & AWS Serverless Developer Requirement ID: 10934154 Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (TNDL – Amsterdam) Start Date: 31 August 2026 Duration: 6 Months Status: Open About the Role We are looking for an experienced Python & AWS Developer (6–8 years) with strong hands-on expertise in AWS serverless technologies and enterprise-grade cloud automation. This role is ideal for engineers who excel in building scalable, event-driven systems using Python and AWS, and who can design robust data and integration pipelines across multiple AWS services. You will work within a digital engineering environment, developing serverless applications, optimizing cloud workflows, and ensuring high reliability across distributed systems. Strong SQL experience is essential, as you will work with analytical datasets, ETL flows, and AWS-native query engines. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Python-based serverless applications on AWS. Build and optimize cloud workflows using Step Functions , Lambda , Glue , and Athena . Develop APIs and integrations using API Gateway , SNS , SQS , and EventBridge . Implement secure and scalable data solutions using S3 , DynamoDB , and IAM . Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and data processing. Ensure observability and reliability through CloudWatch monitoring and logging. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud-native solutions. Follow best practices in coding, documentation, CI/CD, and cloud automation. Required Competencies Digital: Python, AWS DevOps & Automation Strong experience with Python (advanced) Deep expertise in AWS serverless technologies: Athena, Step Functions, S3, IAM, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Glue, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda Strong SQL experience (mandatory) Experience building event-driven architectures Understanding of cloud security, IAM policies, and distributed systems Essential Skills & Experience 6–8 years of professional experience in Python development Proven experience with AWS serverless and automation Strong SQL skills (complex queries, analytical workloads) Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and AWS Glue Experience building APIs and integrations using AWS Gateway + Lambda Experience with monitoring and logging in CloudWatch Ability to work in fast-paced digital environments Desirable Skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) Experience in large-scale cloud environments Location Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid/Onsite depending on project needs) Who Should Apply?
