Role Overview: As a Senior Python Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in a Linux environment. You will ensure secure integrations, high availability, and smooth system upgrades, while collaborating with the team to optimize performance, manage dependencies, and support reliable production operations. Role insights: Perform OS-level operations and troubleshooting (Linux / RHEL 9). Develop, maintain, and optimize Python backend services and APIs. Integrate systems with Active Directory (LDAP) for secure authentication. Manage and upgrade Python environments (versions, dependencies, security). Plan and execute upgrades, including impact analysis and testing. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for high availability. Maintain clear and concise technical documentation. We’ll know you can make it if you have: Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field. 3 years of expiriance as a Python backend developer. Strong knowledge of Django. Experience with Active Directory / LDAP integration. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and ORM frameworks. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in production environments. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Fluent in English (German is a plus).
