Senior Python Developer

Financial Services | 2/3 Days on Site per Month | Real Ownership

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team where Python sits at the heart of a sophisticated, cloud-native platform. You’ll work on technically challenging problems at scale, building the backend services, APIs and web applications that power a genuinely business-critical product.

You’ll have the freedom to take ownership of significant areas of the platform, influence technical decisions and see your work move from initial concept through to production. Rather than being restricted to a narrow development function, you’ll have genuine exposure across the full engineering lifecycle and the opportunity to make a visible impact.

This is a long-term day-rate contract with strong potential for extension or a permanent position. With only 2/3 days per month on site, you’ll have the flexibility of a remote-first environment while working with talented engineers across the globe.

You’ll:

• Design and build scalable, high-performance backend services, APIs and web applications using Python.
• Take ownership of key components of the platform, making technical decisions and driving solutions from concept through to production.
• Work closely with Business and Technical teams to understand complex requirements and turn them into practical, innovative solutions.
• Develop solutions capable of processing complex regulatory data reliably and efficiently at scale.
• Work across the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation.

Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Strong experience building production-grade web applications, backend services and APIs using Python.
• Several years SQL experience
