About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join a dynamic remote development team working on a cutting-edge mobile application for a professional football team. This role is based in Germany and offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of fan engagement through innovative digital solutions. As a Senior Python Developer, you will be instrumental in designing and building scalable backend services that support the application's core functionalities. You will work with modern frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, develop secure and efficient APIs, and integrate AI-powered features to enhance user experiences. The role requires collaboration with an international team, utilizing cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure a high-performance, reliable platform. This position provides a unique chance to contribute to a high-impact project at the intersection of sports, technology, and AI, making a tangible difference in how fans connect with their favorite team both inside and outside the stadium.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Python development, with a strong portfolio of building production-ready backend systems and scalable applications.
• Expertise in frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, with a solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI and machine learning services via APIs, including platforms like OpenAI or Hugging Face.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, JSON data exchange, and efficient data processing techniques.
• Experience working with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, focusing on performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Proficiency with Docker, cloud deployment (preferably on Microsoft Azure), and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of application security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and data privacy considerations.
• Familiarity with Node.js is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Willingness to undertake a HackerRank technical assessment as part of the interview process.

• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment on cloud platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing, and continuous improvement of development workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions aligned with project goals.
