SENIOR PYTHON ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Python Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Colombia,Costa Rica,Mexico. Our client is a composite AI platform that analyzes telemetry, identifies patterns and common causes, and prioritizes issues based on user behavior. It uses machine learning and Generative AI to provide contextual insights and recommendations, even when model confidence is low.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with Python-based backend frameworks, preferably Django
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with OpenSearch (or Elasticsearch)
• Experience with containerization, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS)
• Proficiency with Git
• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development
• Experience integrating LLMs into applications
• Experience working on data science or machine learning projects
• Experience with Apache NiFi
• Experience working in a remote environment with team members in different time zones
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems and services
• Contribute to AI-powered features within the platform
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Debug and resolve issues across the platform
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with other engineers to deliver features end-to-end
• Document your work clearly for other engineers and stakeholders
