Senior Python Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join our team as a key operational and hands-on contributor, delivering Group Risk tenancy for Post Trade as part of the data platform strategy execution across all areas of the business.

We’re launching a Double Referral Bonus Campaign for this role in EPAM Romania open positions, covering candidates referred and hired between September 7th, 2026 and December 31st, 2026. The campaign applies to A3+ roles, for both B2B and permanent positions, across all skills and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the program and work with product teams to design and implement modern, scalable data solutions using a range of new and emerging technologies
• Contribute to innovation in the data space
• Develop and support the AWS & Snowflake based cloud data platform
• Support and migrate data from legacy platforms
• Play a key part in the roll-out of a new cloud-based data platform
• Design and develop automated data pipelines and data structures
• Build automated testing to test data pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python programming
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience for data warehouse solutions using Snowflake or any DB, SQL
• 2+ years of hands-on experience using CI/CD pipelines on GitLab
• 2+ years of experience working with Agile Delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban) and JIRA
• Understanding of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies and software development best practices
• Background in ITIL processes within a 2nd/3rd line support environment
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
