senior python engineer mlops/gcp

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Python Engineer with MLOps/GCP for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a broker platform that offers brokers real-time risk.

In this role, you will help build a new document intelligence capability, productionizing text extraction across the platform and developing tools and frameworks that make LLM capabilities accessible across teams. This is a service/API-level role focused on backend engineering and platform capabilities. No UI development experience is required.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps.
• Professional experience with GCP.
• Experience building high-quality platform capabilities and APIs.
• Experience working with infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Experience working as part of a cross-functional team, contributing throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to take ownership and make informed technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize scalable backend services and APIs for document intelligence and text extraction.
• Contribute to the development of LLM-powered capabilities and solutions that support business workflows.
• Work across the full project lifecycle, from conception to delivery, as part of a cross-functional team.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for deployment and environment management on GCP.
• Build tools and frameworks that make LLM capabilities accessible and reusable across teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, system performance, scalability, and reliability.
