Senior QA Automation Engineer with Python and STC

🚀 We are hiring: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Python & Spirent TestCenter) (100% Remote - Romania) | Luxoft

Are you a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in L2/L3 Networking and hands-on experience with Spirent TestCenter (STC) and Python? We’d love to have you on board!

You will join a high-performing team focused on product verification for a cutting-edge L1-L3 Traffic Generator Solution used by top global networking equipment providers.

💼 What you will do:

• Test Automation & Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain complex automated test scenarios (soak tests, API/CLI testing) using Python and Spirent TestCenter (STC) APIs.
• L2/L3 & Scale Testing: Execute performance, scalability, and convergence testing on protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN, and VXLAN.
• Troubleshooting & CI/CD: Debug complex issues on Linux platforms, analyze log files, and integrate test suites into modern CI/CD pipelines.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Leverage modern AI tools (Claude Code, agentic AI, MCP) to streamline test suite creation, debugging, and productivity.

🎯 What we are looking for:

• Experience: 6+ years in QA, with 4+ years dedicated to Networking domain testing.
• Automation & Scripting: 4+ years in Python automation (API/CLI testing) and test framework development.
• Spirent TestCenter (STC): Strong hands-on experience automating STC via StcPython native API, stcrestclient, or HLTAPI.
• Networking Expertise: Solid working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN) and benchmarking standards (RFC 2544 / RFC 2889).
• AI Tooling: Experience using AI tools (Claude Code, LLMs, AI agents) in your daily testing & automation workflow.

🌟 Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab), and Jira/Confluence.
• Exposure to STC Tcl API or other traffic generator tools (IXIA/Keysight, Wireshark, Iperf).
