We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team at Mixbook Moldova, where you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the world of creativity and human connection. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and designers to ensure the quality and reliability of products that scale with our growing business and technical needs. You'll help define our testing strategy, improve testing processes, and provide valuable insights that shape product quality throughout the software development lifecycle. While this role is primarily focused on manual testing, experience with automation testing and a desire to continue growing in that area will be highly valued. We are seeking candidates based in Moldova, where a hybrid work model is available at our office in central Chișinău. What You’ll Do Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to define testing scope, strategy, and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases while ensuring effective test coverage. Detect, prioritize, and track software defects, working closely with developers to investigate issues and support timely resolution. Contribute to improving testing processes, documentation, and quality practices while supporting user acceptance testing and continuous product improvement. Evaluate and leverage testing tools that improve team efficiency, including bug tracking, test management, and cross-browser testing solutions. What You’ll Need 4+ years of manual QA experience, ideally testing consumer-facing web applications Experience with mobile testing across iOS Understanding of the iOS ecosystem and development lifecycle Experience with multi-device testing (iPhone, iPad, etc.) is a strong plus Experience with automation testing and a desire to further develop automation skills are a strong plus Experience designing test plans, test scenarios, and comprehensive test cases Strong knowledge of testing techniques (Smoke, Regression, Black Box, API, Usability, Exploratory, and Ad-Hoc Testing) Strong analytical skills and defect triage experience Experience writing database queries to support testing is a plus Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Firebase, GitHub, Figma, and test management systems (e.g., TestRail) Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams Desire to work in a collaborative, people-first environment Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and practices Intermediate English speaking skills, level B2 or greater Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or another related college degree What You’ll Enjoy Market-Leading Salary and Perks: Enjoy a market-leading compensation package that reflects your talent and contributions.
