Apply now Empower Your Career within a Leading Software Company About the position Join our Defence team working on the Sitaware Headquarters program – a vital battle management system enhancing decision-making across land, air, and maritime forces. You'll be part of a scrum team, and you’ll ensure high-quality delivery from planning through to deployment, mainly via manual testing. The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is part of Systematic’s Defence Business Unit. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team split between Aarhus and Bucharest and become a key player in our wider QA community of over 40 QA colleagues. Play a key role in the test process As our new Senior QA Engineer colleague, you will be responsible for quality assurance of the features in your team. Amongst other tasks you will be creating test designs, test considerations and test cases to ensure involvement of test in the feature development. With a focus on risk assessment, you will decide on how features must be tested and advise your colleagues on creating automated tests where needed. Working in an agile scrum-team, you will make a difference by: Ensuring an early test involvement in development process, asking all the critical questions and collaborating closely with all stakeholders to ensure all issues and problems are covered. Participating in all test activities such as integration tests, system tests, , bug hunts, etc. Creating and maintaining test documentation as well as test data and defect reporting. Creating and and maintaining your own test environments. There will be some travel activity to Systematic's headquarters in Aarhus. Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Technologies used Linux CLI Docker (Kubernetes experience is preferred) Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) JIRA, Xray, and R4J Virtualization software (VMware, Nutanix) Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) A Senior QA Engineer with an eye for details We seek a colleague who brings a technical degree in computer science, software engineering, computer technology, or something similar. Someone who has worked quality assurance of complex software on a more Senior level for some years. We are looking for a colleague who can take responsibility for their work and is proactive and self-driven in their approach. It will benefit you if you have worked with tools like JIRA , Xray for JIRA or R4J, and technologies like Linux , CLI, Docker and Kubernetes but this is not a requirement, It is essential that you speak English fluently and will thrive in an international working environment What we are looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field like Computer Science, Electronical Engineering or similar; • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and a solid understanding of testing principles; • Eager to contribute to high-quality software delivery, with an interest in automation; • Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment; • Nice to have: ISTQB Foundation Certification and familiarity with the military domain.
