Job Description Remote Full-Time 1-Year Contract (renewable) We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead test strategy, drive automation, and safeguard quality across the full software delivery lifecycle — mentoring the wider QA family along the way. What You'll Do Design — lead test strategies, plans, scenarios and cases across functional and non-functional requirements, and review incoming requirements for clarity and completeness. Automate — build and maintain test automation frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, manage automation test data, and feed automation results into overall test reporting. Multiply — use AI agents and coding assistants to generate test cases, automation scripts and framework code, and set the standard for how the wider QA team does the same. Execute — create, maintain and run both manual and automated tests; capture results, raise defects and follow the client's defect-management protocols. Validate — perform front-end, back-end and white-box testing to confirm data consistency, system behaviour and code quality. Facilitate — run test planning and review sessions with cross-functional teams, and support UAT planning and execution with business users. Mentor — guide QA engineers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Report — give clear, timely updates on testing progress, quality risks and quality metrics to both BISTEC and client leadership. What You'll Bring University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline. 5+ years of QA experience across functional, integration and regression testing. 3+ years building and maintaining test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD. Solid API testing experience — Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI or equivalent. Hands-on with AI test agents in Playwright (or an equivalent — Cypress, Katalon, Testim). Uses AI coding assistants — GitHub Copilot, Claude, AmazonQ or similar — to generate test cases, automation scripts and framework scaffolding, not just autocomplete. Proficient in QA methodologies and SDLC across Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid environments. Comfortable working inside a client's team — strong communication, stakeholder management, and the confidence to demo and explain quality decisions. Self-motivated, adapts quickly, and manages multiple priorities across support, delivery and new work. Bonus Points Have trained or mentored a team on AI-assisted testing. ISTQB certification — CTFL, CTAL or CT-AI. Cloud platforms, application modernisation or data migration exposure. Performance, security or vulnerability testing background. Experience delivering system demos to stakeholders. #LI-DNI
