Senior QE Automation (Retail/Ecommerce)

location: Canada (Remote)

Duration: 12+ Months

Requirements:

• 8+ years of QA experience with strong expertise in web application testing.
• Hands-on experience testing Unified Front End (UFE) or modern JavaScript-based applications.
• Strong understanding of React.js, Angular, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks.
• Must have Retail/Ecommerce domain experience.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO.
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or ALM.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for UFE applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Validate front-end integrations with backend services and APIs.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard automation frameworks.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities within Agile teams.
• Analyze production issues and support root-cause analysis efforts.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience validating responsive web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to performance and accessibility testing.
• Experience working in distributed or nearshore teams.
