Sequencing is building the interface between humanity and its DNA. Using clinical-grade whole genome sequencing, AI, and a rapidly expanding ecosystem of genomic applications, we help people better understand themselves, their health, and their future through their DNA. The human genome is one of the most valuable and underutilized resources in the world. Our mission is to transform the human genome into a lifelong source of personalized guidance and build the trusted home for every genome on Earth. As the world’s largest direct-to-consumer whole genome sequencing platform, Sequencing is helping define the future of AI-powered personalized health. We’re a profitable, venture-backed, fully remote company building category-defining products that help people better understand themselves through their DNA. The opportunity We're building AI that can reason over one of the most complex datasets in existence: the human genome. Millions of people trust Sequencing to help them understand their DNA, which means every variant call, every pipeline output, and every genetic insight we deliver has to be right. As a Senior Quality Bioinformatics Engineer, you'll be the last line of defense between our genomic analysis pipelines and the people who depend on them. You'll combine large-scale data analysis with rigorous test automation to make sure the science stays accurate as our platform scales. This is an opportunity to apply deep bioinformatics expertise to build the quality systems that keep genetic insight trustworthy, for a platform that's reshaping how people understand their own health. Who you are: 5+ years of experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for genomic data analysis. Experience with NGS pipelines, variant classification, and data validation. A solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation tools. Experience with bug tracking and Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Bonus points for: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI). Knowledge of continuous integration (CI/CD) and automated testing frameworks. What you'll own Develop automated test cases for quality control of new code deployments. Write scripts and pipelines to analyze large-scale genomic data and detect errors. Work closely with engineers and variant curators to improve workflows and catch issues before they reach production. Ensure genetic data accuracy and integrity through quality engineering practices across our analysis pipelines. Why this role matters For decades, the human genome has been one of the world's richest sources of health information, but only if the insights drawn from it can be trusted. The quality systems you build will make sure that billions of genetic data points, processed through constantly evolving pipelines, translate into genetic insights people can rely on when making decisions about their health. This role sits at the intersection of precision engineering and human genetics. The accuracy you help guarantee is what makes it possible for people to trust their DNA data enough to act on it. Benefits Overview Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage 401(k) with company matching Paid time off (PTO) Paid volunteer time off Fully remote work with home office stipend Parental bonding leave Clinical-grade whole genome sequencing for you and your family (private and confidential) Join Sequencing Redefine how people understand themselves through their DNA Build category-defining products alongside scientists, engineers, and innovators Contribute to technology that will improve and extend millions of lives Shape one of the most important emerging categories in AI and healthcare Sequencing Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
