Senior Quantity Surveyor - Wexford

Location: Wexford

Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 (DOE) + package

Contract: Permanent or Freelance

Working Arrangement: Hybrid available- 3 days on site, 2 days remote

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a major healthcare project in Wexford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established construction team and play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of a significant project.

The Role

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project from pre-construction through to completion.
• Prepare, review and manage budgets, forecasts, valuations and cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, variations, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and review tender and procurement documentation.
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors, consultants and client.
• Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are followed.
• Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to senior management.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Proven experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects.
• Healthcare, commercial, infrastructure or other complex project experience would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, cost control and commercial management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
