Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide expert cost management support for Kalimah Center’s projects, ensuring financial efficiency and budget alignment across educational and corporate initiatives. This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQ), developing cost plans and budgets, monitoring project expenditures, and producing accurate cost reports for internal stakeholders. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to establish cost control procedures, evaluate financial risks, and recommend value-driven solutions. The role also involves contributing to procurement decisions, validating contractor and supplier claims, and supporting continuous improvement in financial governance and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to oversee project budgets and ensure financial discipline.
• Candidates should possess expertise in BOQ preparation and review to support accurate project scoping and tendering.
• Candidates should possess skills in Cost Planning to develop reliable estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Candidates should possess capabilities in Cost Reporting to produce clear, timely, and accurate financial reports for decision-makers.
• Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer, preferably at senior level, within construction, facilities, or education-related projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with proficiency in relevant QS and spreadsheet software.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects part-time, and adapt to a hybrid work setting.
