Senior React Native Engineer

Senior React Native Engineer Location: Remote (Global) Team: Mobile Engineering Summary You'll own mobile development across iOS and Android using React Native, with real depth in ad stack integration and video SDK implementation. This isn't a "pure JS" React Native role — you'll drop into native Swift or Java/Kotlin when the situation demands it. You'll work directly with clients in a media/publishing context where ads and video aren't afterthoughts — they're core product. Requirements (Must-Haves) Excellent English communication skills — you'll interact directly with clients and need to clearly articulate technical tradeoffs, timelines, and decisions without hand-holding 3+ years of mobile app development (iOS and/or Android), with React Native as your primary framework for those builds — not a side tool Proven ability to write native code when React Native hits its limits — Swift for iOS, Java or Kotlin for Android Hands-on experience integrating an ad stack in a mobile app — GAM, DoubleClick, AppNexus, MoPub, or similar; you've dealt with ad rendering, refresh logic, targeting, or monetization pipelines in a real production app Hands-on experience integrating a video SDK in a mobile app — JW Player, Video.js, native AVPlayer/ExoPlayer, Brightcove, or similar; you've shipped video playback features, not just embedded a YouTube iframe Strong understanding of mobile performance, memory management, and debugging at the native layer Requirements (Nice-to-Haves) Experience working in media, news, or publishing — you've built apps where content delivery, ad revenue, and video engagement are KPIs that actually matter Familiarity with DRM, SSAI/CSAI , or advanced video delivery (HLS, DASH) Experience with push notifications, background sync, or deep linking in a content-heavy app Comfort with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions Bonus Points You've led a mobile platform rebuild or major ad/video stack migration Open source contributions to React Native ecosystem, video, or ad tooling
