About the company
Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Support complex property transactions from the opening checklist through to closing, partnering closely with senior attorneys. The role suits a seasoned legal professional who can advance matters independently and communicate directly with outside parties.
What you'll do
- Run purchase, sale and lending transactions from start to finish, including checklists, closing documents and coordination on the day of closing.
- Examine title commitments and surveys, address related objections and track the items needed at closing.
- Join live email conversations to keep matters moving and liaise with the parties on the other side of each deal.
- Check settlement figures, gather executed signature pages and prepare final paperwork for filing in public records.
- Use document management software, PDF tools and AI-enabled tools to make team workflows more efficient.
What we're looking for
- 7 to 10+ years of transactional property experience as a paralegal, gained in a private practice setting rather than in-house.
- A solid record of closing acquisitions, sales and financing matters.
- Experience taking transactions from checklist to close and drafting standard closing documents.
- Familiarity with document management and workflow on larger deals.
- A stable work history with meaningful tenure at previous employers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to move deals forward without close supervision.
- Comfort with document management systems, PDF editing and adopting AI tools.
Bonus points
- Experience with iManage.
- Background at a comparable regional firm.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 100,000 to 130,000 per year
Location and work model
- Newark, NJ, United States
- On-site, 4 days per week in the office (1 day work from home permitted)
- Full-time
