Senior Recoveries Officer

We are open to candidates based in Brisbane or Melbourne for this role. As our highly valued Senior Recoveries Officer based in Brisbane, your role will be responsible for effective management and recovery of debt for a portfolio of impaired (90+ days) and high-risk accounts across the full product suite of retail products. You develop and implement solutions to remediate these accounts and minimise potential loss to Great Southern Bank. In addition, you take appropriate steps to ensure all processes and actions are compliant with the relevant legislation and guidelines. You’ll make an impact by: Regularly contact and negotiate solutions with customers & drive solutions in line with policy Assess customer requests for Financial Assistance Develop relationships with stakeholders externally and across the business, including Solicitors, Auctioneers, Insolvency Practitioners and Property Presenters. Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have: 3 years’ experience in a mortgage recoveries role & experience in managing Mortgagee In Possession matters and Lenders Mortgage Insurance claims. Sound knowledge of retail financial services, including knowledge of relevant principles & legislation (Privacy Act, NCCP, Bankruptcy Act, Debt Collection Guidelines). Sound knowledge of Financial services, including knowledge of relevant principles & legislation (Privacy Act, NCCP, Bankruptcy Act, Debt Collection Guidelines) and the legal recovery process for lending.
