Summary: The Senior Requirements Engineer / Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming high-level requirements into a detailed functional specification essential for architecture approval and implementation. This position is crucial for aligning project outcomes with business and regulatory standards within a highly regulated environment for the Swiss tax authorities.
Responsibilities:
Refine and complete existing requirements catalog based on high-level specifications and business documentation.
Analyse and interpret complex business rules provided by Swiss tax authorities and standardization bodies.
Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
Create and maintain user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Conduct UI and usability analysis, including wireframes and mock-ups to support requirement validation.
Ensure full traceability between business requirements, architecture components, and test cases.
Maintain documentation in Confluence and Jira.
Collaborate closely with project management, architects, and Swiss domain experts.
Support architecture reviews and steering committee preparations.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst and/or Requirements Engineer.
Balanced background combining Business Analysis (50%) and Requirements Engineering (50%).
Strong analytical mindset to interpret complex or partially documented business rules.
Experience in regulated environments such as public administration, finance, insurance, or e-government.
Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, or similar requirements management tools.
Experience in creating wireframes or mock-ups.
Excellent written and spoken English (C1 minimum).
Proficiency in German is considered a strong advantage.
Nice to Have:
Certifications in business analysis or requirements engineering.
Familiarity with HERMES methodology and arc42 architecture documentation.
Experience conducting workshops or training sessions for stakeholders.
