We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management, the Senior Risk Manager will operate and advance Network180's risk management program. The Senior Risk Manager will serve as the organization's operational lead for risk management, implementing and operating the enterprise risk management framework and collaborating with organizational leaders to identify, assess, monitor, and analyze risk across clinical/consumer safety, operational, financial, legal and regulatory, technology, human capital, strategic, and environmental domains. The Senior Risk Manager operates the risk management framework and coordinates across departments. Departmental leaders and subject-matter experts retain authority over what constitutes risk in their areas and over the selection and execution of mitigation within them. The Director retains strategic direction of the framework, chairs the Risk Management Committee. The Senior Risk Manager assists the Director with leading high-severity investigations This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is primarily remote with occasional need for onsite work at various Network180 locations, and occasional regional travel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Law, Business Administration, Human Services, Nursing, or a related field. • At least six years of progressively more responsible experience in healthcare risk management, compliance, quality, or patient safety within a behavioral health, healthcare, or public health setting, including experience leading risk management activities. • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and practices, including enterprise risk management, risk assessment, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing behavioral health services, including Medicaid, HIPAA/HITECH, 42 CFR Part 2, the Michigan Mental Health Code, and Joint Commission or CARF accreditation standards. • Experience investigating and analyzing incidents, adverse events, and claims, and translating findings into actionable improvements. • Ability to analyze data and apply evidence-based practices to improve safety, service quality, and outcomes. • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence others without direct authority. • Strong interpersonal, leadership, facilitation, and communication skills to engage and train diverse stakeholders, including executives, clinical staff, and external regulatory agencies. • Experience accurately interpreting and analyzing regulations, contracts, policies, and technical procedures. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and manage time in an effective and efficient manner. • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment and to use sound judgment to make decisions. • Proven ability to work effectively in an uncertain and rapidly changing regulatory and operational environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and other relevant applications. • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language and cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Law, Business Administration, Nursing, Human Services, or a related field. • Knowledge of the Michigan Community Mental Health system and PIHP structure. • Experience with enterprise risk management frameworks and risk analytics tools. • Supervisory experience. • Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.
