- Apply structured problem‑solving methods such as 5‑Why, Fishbone, and 8D to identify root cause and drive corrective action.
- Champion reliability, robustness, and continuous improvement across designs.
New Product Introduction & Manufacturing Support
- Support hands‑on build, bring‑up, and qualification of new robotic products.
- Lead technical transition from R&D into manufacturing and volume production.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC) while maintaining high reliability standards.
Cross‑
Functional & Customer Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Support customer interactions including requirement definition, design reviews, and technical issue resolution.
- Travel as needed within Asia (Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan) to support customers and global programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in robot or precision mechatronic system design for high‑reliability or mission‑critical applications.
- Strong preference for experience with vacuum robots or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise in first‑principles engineering, including:
- Mechanics, dynamics, and vibration
- Fatigue and lifetime analysis
- System modeling for motor and drivetrain selection
- Proven experience delivering new products from concept to manufacturing release.
