Sales Executive III | Global Trip Support

Location: Houston/Webster, TX (Remote)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and relationship-driven Sales Executive III to join our Global Trip Support team. This role is responsible for developing, retaining, and expanding relationships with high-value business aviation customers while driving revenue growth across World Fuel's global portfolio of aviation services.

This is a senior-level sales position focused on consultative selling, strategic account management, and complex customer relationships. The successful candidate will leverage deep industry expertise and an established professional network to acquire new customers, strengthen existing partnerships, and position World Fuel as a trusted advisor across all aspects of flight operations.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned aviation sales professional who understands the business aviation ecosystem, has extensive trip support experience, and thrives in a highly customer-centric environment.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new high-value Global Trip Support customers.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying opportunities to expand customer spend across World Fuel's aviation solutions.
  • Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities through industry relationships, referrals, conferences, networking, market intelligence, and targeted outreach.
  • Promote and sell Global Trip Support, Regional Trip Support, Online Flight Planning, Aviation Insurance, Fuel Programs, and other value-added aviation services.
  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling initiatives across multiple product lines.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and ongoing account development.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with flight departments, aircraft operators, directors of aviation, chief pilots, dispatchers, schedulers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customer accounts and act as a trusted advisor on operational solutions.
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning discussions designed to strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively identify customer needs, operational challenges, and opportunities to improve service delivery and account growth.
  • Support customer retention through exceptional service, issue resolution, account health reviews, and ongoing engagement activities.
  • Monitor changes in customer operations, fleet composition, or business circumstances that may impact account growth or retention.

Commercial Strategy

  • Analyze customer trends, business opportunities, industry developments, and competitive market conditions to support account growth strategies.
  • Develop pricing recommendations and support commercial negotiations aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize customer value while increasing account profitability and long-term retention.
  • Support contract renewals, strategic growth initiatives, and customer expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate with leadership on market development strategies within the business aviation sector.

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Partner closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Supply, and Trip Support teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Facilitate customer onboarding activities, account setup requirements, customer preferences documentation, and billing coordination.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and account plans within CRM systems.
  • Support international sales teams and collaborate across regions to maximize customer opportunities.
  • Travel as needed to support customer meetings, industry conferences, business development activities, and team initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience within business aviation, trip support, or aviation services.
  • Proven success acquiring and retaining high-value aviation customers.
  • Extensive experience selling Global Trip Support or related aviation operational services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships and influence key decision makers.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and consultative sales skills.
  • Experience managing complex customer accounts and achieving aggressive revenue objectives.
  • Strong understanding of business aviation operations and customer buying behaviors.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling Global Trip Support, Regional Trip Support, Flight Planning, Aviation Insurance, Fuel Programs, or related aviation solutions.
  • Established industry network within business aviation and flight department communities.
  • Knowledge of international flight operations and trip support requirements.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing strategic customer portfolios.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
