Job Title: Senior Sales Representative / Strategic Account Specialist Job Description The Senior Inside Product Support Representative / Strategic Account Specialist is a Senior, customer-facing sales role focused on managing strategic and high-value accounts, leading complex quoting and technical consultations, and driving profitable growth. This position serves as a trusted advisor to customers, providing advanced product support recommendations, protecting margins, and owning high-value opportunities from identification through fulfillment. The role also strengthens overall team capability through mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership in process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Manage assigned strategic, high-value, and national customer relationships, developing and executing account growth plans. Lead complex quote development, including pricing coordination, sourcing, and opportunity management from initial identification through order fulfillment. Provide consultative parts and product support recommendations based on customer equipment, applications, operating needs, and lifecycle requirements. Drive profitable account growth through cross-selling, upselling, stocking strategies, targeted promotions, and proactive opportunity development. Protect margins by applying disciplined pricing practices, evaluating commercial risk, and escalating exceptions when appropriate. Serve as a primary resource for high-impact customer issues involving parts availability, substitutions, obsolete components, technical clarification, and fulfillment risk. Conduct structured follow-up on strategic quotes, pipeline opportunities, backlog, and customer commitments to ensure timely closure and customer satisfaction. Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Salesforce, providing clear visibility into account activity, pipeline status, next steps, and forecasted opportunities. Partner closely with leadership, outside sales, service, purchasing, operations, e-commerce, and vendors to support customer initiatives and product-line strategies. Identify market needs, parts gaps, inventory opportunities, supplier opportunities, and potential areas for product-line expansion. Support customer business reviews, account planning sessions, and strategic growth conversations with key stakeholders. Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 representatives, sharing expertise in products, systems, pricing, and sales processes to elevate team performance. Lead or support process improvement initiatives that enhance customer responsiveness, quote conversion rates, margin performance, and operational execution. Act as a technical go-to resource for complex issues, including older equipment and trucks, providing guidance and solutions over the phone. Communicate effectively with field personnel whose trucks are down, assist with diagnostics, identify required parts, and coordinate prompt shipment. Perform diligent quote follow-up to convert opportunities into sales and strengthen customer relationships. Identify upselling opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business through targeted business development efforts. Train internal team members on technical topics, products, and processes to build internal capability and reduce reliance on external support. Essential Skills 7 or more years of progressive experience in parts sales, product support, industrial distribution, truck equipment, aftermarket sales, or a closely related field. Demonstrated success managing key accounts, high-value quotes, complex customer issues, and driving profitable sales growth. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, margin management, sourcing practices, order fulfillment processes, and account development techniques. Advanced technical proficiency related to mechanics, trucks, fuel, lubricants, and associated equipment, with the ability to support customers over the phone on complex issues, including older trucks. Proven ability to provide consultative sales and product support, including diagnostics, parts identification, and solution recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation, organizational, and customer presentation abilities. Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, including opportunity management and account documentation. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage quotes, orders, and customer information. Ability to operate as a strategic, sales-facing professional who can identify upselling opportunities and develop new business. Capability to mentor and train internal team members, sharing technical and sales-process knowledge. Experience working effectively in a remote environment, managing time, priorities, and customer interactions independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience. Experience supporting national accounts, fleets, equipment dealers, rental customers, or multi-location organizations. Deep knowledge of aftermarket truck equipment, fluid power, industrial parts, or related technical product categories. Experience mentoring employees, supporting onboarding, or leading cross-functional improvement projects. Experience with Salesforce CRM, e-commerce platforms, vendor development, and strategic sourcing initiatives. Strong business development mindset, with the ability to bring in new clients while expanding relationships with existing customers. Work Environment This is a 100% remote role with a strong preference for candidates located in the Central Time Zone to help bridge coverage between East and West Coast teams. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
