Senior Salesforce Developer Level: P4 | Proficient Location: Canada | Remote Department Leader: Victoria Wnek, VP of Operations Type: Permanent | Full Time Vacancy Status: This is an active, approved role and we are currently hiring for this position. About Solink At Solink, our mission is to safeguard what matters most . We provide businesses with the tools to know sooner and act faster by transforming video security into real-time operational insights. Our cloud-based platform integrates seamlessly with your existing cameras and systems, turning them into intelligent sensors that detect and interpret key moments. This empowers teams to make data-driven decisions, enhance security, and improve operational efficiency. Trusted by over 35,000 locations across 60+ countries - including brands like McDonald’s and JYSK - Solink delivers clarity when it counts. Our solutions help businesses reduce shrink, optimize performance, and respond proactively to potential threats. We're growing rapidly, earning industry recognition, and scaling with purpose. We’ve been recognized by Deloitte’s Fast 50™ and Fast 500™, Business Intelligence Group, and as one of Ottawa’s Best Places to Work. And we’re just getting started! The Role Salesforce is the core of our technology stack, and this role owns it. You will be the primary Salesforce administrator at Solink, accountable for the reliability, accuracy, and day-to-day health of the platform across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Beyond Salesforce, you will have the opportunity to get your hands into the broader tech stack. That means supporting automation workflows in n8n, helping maintain integrations and pitching in where the team needs technical depth. This is not a 50/50 split. Salesforce comes first, and the tech exposure is an opportunity to grow your range over time. You will work closely with the Director, Operational Excellence and Innovation, giving you clear direction, strong cross-functional support, and a team that is invested in your success. You'll have modern tooling behind you, Sweep for metadata visibility, documentation, and impact analysis, plus AI development tools like Claude Code, and access to Sweep's professional services team for execution capacity. Direction, judgment, and accountability for the org sit with you: external partners execute what you scope and approve, not the other way around. This is a hands-on execution role. You take pride in doing the work well, you think in systems, and you want to build something that the business actually trusts. Where We're At We migrated our CRM from HubSpot to Salesforce recently. The org is live and adoption is ramping, which means we're in the stabilization phase that follows any cutover: closing out migration debt, hardening what was built quickly to hit the go-live date, and finishing data-model decisions that were deferred. HubSpot remains in production for marketing, with an active bidirectional sync to Salesforce. Your first 6–12 months will focus on: Stabilizing the post-migration org; cleaning up legacy fields and data-model items carried over from HubSpot, finalizing deduplication and lead-vs-contact routing rules, and triaging user-reported issues as adoption grows Owning the health of the HubSpot–Salesforce sync from the Salesforce side: field mappings, association logic, and sync error resolution, marketing attribution depends on it Bringing Salesforce fully in-house, taking over direction and execution of changes currently handled by external partners Establishing durable release, sandbox, and QA practices so the org scales cleanly from here If you've been through a HubSpot-to-Salesforce migration before, you'll recognize this phase. That experience is a significant asset in this role. What You’ll Do Salesforce Administration & Platform Ownership Own the full Salesforce org end-to-end: configuration, automation, security model, data integrity, and performance Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, flows, validation rules, page layouts, and declarative tooling Translate business requirements from Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations and Finance into scalable, well-documented Salesforce solutions Own the data model, object relationships, and automation architecture Work closely with Revenue Operations analysts who build reports and dashboards, ensuring the underlying data model, fields, and configurations in Salesforce support their work accurately and seamlessly Design and build custom apps, objects, and tooling within Salesforce using App Builder and declarative tools Drive data hygiene, duplicate management, and reporting accuracy across the platform Run the intake process for Salesforce change requests, triaging by effort and impact, and communicating timelines clearly Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, and bring relevant improvements to the team Serve as the single internal owner of the Salesforce org. Every configuration and metadata change, whether made by you, by Sweep's platform, or by Sweep's professional services team, is reviewed and approved by you before it reaches production. Direct the work of external partners: define scope, set priorities, review proposed solutions before deployment, and validate delivered work against requirements. You decide what Sweep and their PS team build; they do not set direction. Use Sweep's metadata mapping and impact analysis to inform changes, and independently verify its recommendations before acting on them. Audit and right-size the permissions held by third-party platforms and integration users — including Sweep's connected user — as internal ownership matures. Administer Salesforce Sales Engagement for the BDR team: cadence infrastructure, work queue configuration, permissions, and the connected dialer integration Quality Assurance & Release Management Lead QA for all Salesforce changes: new features, integrations, enhancements, and bug fixes Design and execute test plans, regression testing, and UAT coordination Own sandbox strategy (dev, QA, UAT) and manage deployments using change sets or SFDX Serve as the final quality gate before every production deployment Maintain release notes and a change log for every deployment Platform Reliability & Technical Debt Monitor org health, governor limits, and system performance proactively Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues quickly, and perform root cause analysis on production incidents Actively identify and reduce technical debt: retire unused fields, flows, objects, and automations Keep the org clean, well-structured, and easier to maintain over time Documentation & User Enablement Document every meaningful system change: what was built, how it works, and what it impacts Maintain current architecture documentation for the data model, key automations, and integrations Build and maintain training materials and enablement resources for Salesforce users across the business Write runbooks for common issues and recurring operational tasks Revenue Technology & Automation Support Own the Salesforce side of integrations and reduce the number of tech tools we use. Develop a strong working knowledge of NetSuite and the quote-to-cash process so you can collaborate effectively with the systems team and ensure Salesforce and NetSuite stay in sync Understand the full Order to Cashflow and how data moves between systems, and flag or resolve issues where the handoff breaks down Get hands-on with n8n or other tools to automate to help build and maintain automated workflows as needed Identify automation opportunities across the rev tech stack that reduce manual effort and improve data flow Pitch in on broader rev tech tooling where your technical skills add value, with room to grow this part of the role over time Role Expectations This is a P4 level role. At Solink, individuals at this level are experienced contributors who operate with a high degree of autonomy within their area of expertise. They lead complex initiatives, influence cross-functional outcomes, and use their expertise to raise the effectiveness of those around them. In this role, you’ll be expected to: Own the day-to-day health and direction of the Salesforce org, making the configuration, automation, and data-model calls needed to stabilize the post-migration platform while keeping an eye on long-term scalability and technical debt. Lead the transition of Salesforce from externally-managed to fully in-house, directing Sweep's platform and professional services team, scoping and prioritizing their work, and reviewing every change before it reaches production. Act as a trusted technical partner to Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Customer Support and Finance, translating their requirements into practical Salesforce solutions and pushing back when a request would create downstream data, sync, or maintenance problems. Establish and run the release, sandbox, QA, and documentation practices — including ownership of the HubSpot–Salesforce sync — that keep the org reliable and marketing attribution and reporting trustworthy as adoption grows. Raise the team's overall Salesforce effectiveness by reviewing work from partners and teammates, coaching others through tricky configuration or data problems, and bringing best practices back from the wider Salesforce ecosystem. What success looks like: The post-migration org is stabilized: legacy data-model debt is resolved, and the HubSpot–Salesforce sync runs reliably enough that Marketing, Sales, Operations, Support, Finance and RevOps trust the data without manual reconciliation. Salesforce direction and execution have moved fully in-house, with external partners like Sweep operating within scope, priorities, and reviews that you define. Release, sandbox, and QA practices are established and followed, so changes ship predictably without breaking production or eroding user trust. What You Bring Must-Have: 5+ years administering, building and developing on Salesforce Sales Cloud, including time as the primary or sole Salesforce owner at a B2B SaaS company, or equivalent experience owning an org without an architect above you Hands-on Apex: you can write, debug, and maintain classes, triggers, and test coverage, and you know when code is the wrong answer Advanced declarative automation: Flows, validation rules, approval processes, and the judgment to choose declarative vs. programmatic deliberately Lightning Web Components: able to build and maintain custom components where standard UI falls short Integration design and troubleshooting: REST/SOAP APIs, native connectors, and middleware, including field mappings, sync logic, and error handling across systems Data model and architecture ownership: object design, relationships, and the discipline to think through downstream consequences of schema decisions Deep command of the Salesforce security model: roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and auditing of third-party and integration user access Release management: sandbox strategy, deployments via change sets and/or SFDX, testing standards, and documentation Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator required; Platform Developer (formerly Platform Developer I), Platform App Builder, or Platform Administrator II (formerly Advanced Administrator) strongly preferred Nice-to-Have: Hands-on experience with n8n or comparable workflow automation tooling Experience integrating Salesforce with HubSpot, Gong, Orum, Gainsight, Ironclad, RAMP, Snowflake, Zendesk, Intercom, Mindmatrix or NetSuite Working knowledge of NetSuite and the quote-to-cash or order-to-cash process Background supporting Revenue Operations, Sales, or Customer Success teams in a SaaS environment Experience reducing technical debt or rationalizing an over-customized Salesforce org Compensation The salary range for this role is $111,252 - $150,000 We determine compensation based on the experience, skills, and impact you bring to the role. Candidates hired closer to the top of the range will typically demonstrate proficient capability throughout the interview process. This means they already have the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to perform successfully in the role, can ramp up quickly, and are expected to become fully proficient in the position within a short period of time. Security Requirements Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire; Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada; Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
