Job Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable Salesforce solutions that drive business operations and revenue growth across the organization. This role serves as the primary technical expert for Salesforce development, integrations, automation, and application architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with business stakeholders, the Revenue Systems Manager, and Technology leadership, the Senior Salesforce Developer delivers innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve data accessibility, and support enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

SALESFORCE DEVELOPMENT & ARCHITECTURE

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flow, and platform events.
  • Own technical design decisions, including data modeling, automation architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and error handling.
  • Maintain and enhance custom Salesforce applications, custom objects, and platform functionality.
  • Refactor legacy solutions and reduce technical debt while maintaining platform stability.
  • Evaluate and recommend technical approaches that balance functionality, scalability, and maintainability. Systems Integration & Data Management
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party business systems.
  • Support data synchronization, data governance, and platform interoperability initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable movement of data between Salesforce, operational systems, and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Partner with technology teams to support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and data platform initiatives.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to proactively identify and resolve integration issues.

PLATFORM SECURITY & GOVERNANCE

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, access controls, field-level security, and sharing models.
  • Ensure development solutions comply with organizational standards and applicable privacy requirements.
  • Support platform governance by reviewing new applications, integrations, and enhancement requests.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standards, and development practices that enable long-term platform sustainability. Release Management & Development Operations
  • Manage the Salesforce development lifecycle, including source control, code reviews, testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Establish and maintain development standards, naming conventions, and coding best practices.
  • Support sandbox strategy, deployment planning, testing coordination, and production releases.
  • Review and validate work performed by external developers and consulting partners.

AUTOMATION & EMERGING TECHNOLOGY

  • Evaluate opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, AI, and Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Develop proofs of concept and pilot solutions to assess business value before implementation.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, platform enhancements, and industry best practices.
  • Recommend new technologies and capabilities that support organizational goals.

ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in technology planning and prioritization processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing platform optimization efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flow, APIs, and Salesforce platform architecture.
  • Experience designing and supporting platform integrations using REST, SOAP, middleware, or event-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, data structures, and governor limits.
  • Experience utilizing source control, sandbox management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect, or Data Architect certifications.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, PandaDoc, Mailchimp, Domo, Insycle, or similar integrated platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architecture, or modern cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with Agentforce, Einstein AI capabilities, or Salesforce automation technologies.
  • Background supporting property management, HOA management, field services, or multi-location operations.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or other modern development frameworks

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and review system configurations for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and virtual environments.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, training, and company events as needed.

Pay Range

The estimated starting base pay range for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon RowCal's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
