Purpose of the Role To support the delivery of high-quality electronic products by carrying out assembly, soldering, inspection, and manufacturing activities in accordance with customer, regulatory and company standards. The role contributes to production planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring full product traceability, operational efficiency, and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. Working collaboratively across the business, plays a key role in achieving production objectives, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. Principal Accountabilities Support production planning and resource forecasting activities, assisting the Team Leader in setting priorities and coordinating workloads to meet business and project requirements. Carry out product build, assembly, inspection, and related manufacturing activities in line with approved procedures and quality standards. Deliver production targets while maintaining compliance with established processes, specifications, and safety requirements. Provide support for electronics assembly inspection activities, ensuring products meet customer and industry standards. Maintain accurate manufacturing records and documentation to ensure full product traceability and compliance requirements are met. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the company's commitment to operational excellence and zero-defect manufacturing within an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Promote a culture of quality, safety, and accountability across all production activities. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Experience in electronics assembly within a manufacturing environment (small scale) Proficiency in hand soldering to IPC Class 3 standards, with knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-7711/7721 requirements. Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively under pressure. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and safe working practices. Competent IT and PC skills, including the ability to accurately complete production and traceability records. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and workmanship. Strong time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving. Desirable Experience within a high-technology, electronics, aerospace, defence, or similar regulated manufacturing environment. Understanding of quality management systems and traceability requirements.
