Overview

At Lupa, we're hiring for a Senior SEO Content Strategist to join our Growth / Organic Search team and help shape the next chapter of our organic growth.

This is not a role for someone whose job is simply to "write blogs." We're investing heavily in organic growth and rebuilding how we approach SEO, content, AEO/GEO, and our website as a whole. We already have an experienced SEO Lead driving strategy — now we're looking for a senior, hands-on content specialist who can work alongside her and turn that strategy into high-quality execution.

You'll own much of the hands-on content execution behind our organic-growth strategy: improving our existing site, recovering and growing organic traffic, strengthening topical authority, and creating new content designed to perform across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search experiences. You should be equally comfortable diagnosing an opportunity in Search Console or Ahrefs and then opening a page immediately afterward to rewrite it.

This is a remote role based in Latin America, reporting to our SEO Lead.

What You'll Do

SEO Content Strategy & Research

  • Conduct keyword research and map keywords to search intent and the appropriate pages.

  • Perform competitor and SERP analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities.

  • Use Google Trends and other data sources to spot emerging topics and search demand.

  • Help determine what content we should create, update, consolidate, redirect, or remove.

  • Turn SEO opportunities into clear content briefs and executable recommendations.

Content Optimization

  • Rewrite and substantially improve existing landing pages and articles.

  • Optimize titles, headings, metadata, copy, anchor text, and on-page structure.

  • Identify and resolve keyword cannibalization and overlapping content.

  • Refresh underperforming content based on search data — not just publishing more.

  • Maintain high editorial standards so content sounds genuinely useful and human.

  • Run AI-content index checks before publishing (e.g., GPTZero or Pangram).

Internal Linking & Site Architecture

  • Build and maintain a deliberate internal-linking strategy.

  • Identify contextual internal-linking opportunities and select the right anchor text and destinations.

  • Strengthen topic clusters and relationships between high-value pages.

  • Collaborate with the SEO Lead on redirects, content migrations, and structural changes.

Measurement & Analysis

  • Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and/or Semrush to evaluate performance.

  • Use Screaming Frog or similar crawling tools to surface content and on-page SEO issues.

  • Monitor rankings, impressions, clicks, traffic, and content performance.

  • Investigate why pages gain or lose visibility and recommend specific actions.

  • Measure whether content changes actually worked.

Publishing & Execution

  • Work directly inside our CMS to update and publish content.

  • Follow SEO best practices when creating, updating, moving, or removing pages.

  • QA pages after publishing.

  • Work quickly alongside the SEO Lead, developers, and other growth team members when a change requires technical support.

Who You Are

We care less about your exact job title and more about whether you've actually done this work.

Must-haves

  • 4–7+ years across SEO, SEO content, organic growth, content strategy, or a closely related field.

  • Professional-level written and spoken English.

  • Strong SEO writing and editing ability.

  • Demonstrable experience growing organic traffic or improving search performance.

  • Advanced understanding of keyword research, search intent, competitor analysis, internal linking, anchor text, and on-page SEO.

  • Experience diagnosing content cannibalization, duplication, decay, and underperformance.

  • Schema markup generation/validation knowledge and HTML tagging knowledge.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

  • Strong working knowledge of Ahrefs, Semrush, or both.

  • Experience with Screaming Frog or comparable crawling tools.

  • The ability to use data to make decisions rather than relying solely on editorial intuition.

  • Enough technical SEO understanding to know what happens when pages are moved, consolidated, redirected, or removed.

  • A strong bias toward execution — you see a problem and start solving it.

Nice-to-haves

  • Webflow experience.

  • Backlink analysis and link-quality evaluation.

  • AEO / GEO / optimization for AI search and LLM visibility.

  • Building custom GPTs, Gems, AI agents, or other AI-assisted content workflows.

  • Experience in recruiting, staffing, HR tech, nearshore/offshore hiring, remote work, or the broader talent industry.

  • UX writing or conversion-focused web copy.

  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies or audiences.

You'll thrive here if you're the type of person who opens Search Console, notices something weird, spends an hour figuring out why, and then wants to fix it immediately. You don't need someone assigning you individual articles all day — and most importantly, you care about whether the work actually produces a result.

What's In It For You

  • Impact & ownership: You'll own hands-on execution behind a real organic-growth strategy, with the autonomy to spot problems, decide what should happen, and make the changes yourself.

  • Growth: Work directly alongside an experienced SEO Lead and grow into a senior operator she trusts with execution — freeing you both to push into strategy, experimentation, and AI-driven search.

  • Remote-first: Fully remote within Latin America.

  • Compensation: USD $2,500–$3,500 per month, depending on experience.

  • Benefits: 7 days of PTO per year, plus local holidays.

  • Schedule & timezone: Full-time schedule during business hours in Central Time, UTC−6 standard time; UTC−5 during daylight saving time.

  • Engagement details: Full-time, long-term contract.

Application

Ready to turn SEO strategy into real, measurable results? If you've grown organic traffic, fixed messy site architecture, and genuinely care about outcomes over output, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now to join Lupa — tell us about a time you spotted an SEO problem and fixed it end to end. Include links or examples of content or traffic growth you've driven.
