Stirling Council is the host Council providing a Forth Valley wide emergency out of hours social work Service between Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk Councils. A significant area of work in this context will be child and adult protection therefore applicants will either be trained or experienced in this field or willing to undertake the necessary training.

Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience. A balance of professional skills is necessary for this generic service. A strong knowledge of primary legislation is required, MHO accreditation, an understanding of other care group settings and emergency duty experience are desired.

Post holders will work (17.5 hours) a week during the evenings, weekends and public holidays plus night time standbys on a rota shift system with occasional daytime meetings. The post involves hybrid working. The grade is currently subject to job evaluation. This post is currently temporary for 2 years.
