Senior Software Developer
Getinge
With a passion for life
Join our diverse teams of passionate people and a career that allows you to develop both personally and professionally. At Getinge we exist to make life-saving technology accessible for more people. To make a true difference for our customers – and to save more lives, we need team players, forward thinkers, and game changers.
Are you looking for an inspiring career? You just found it.
Plenty of developers have tried an AI agent. Fewer have run several in parallel, built their own tooling to keep them on track, and worked out exactly where they shine and where they still fall over. If you are on top of these things and want to contribute to the build-up of an agentic software organization, we should talk.
Getinge is looking for Senior .NET Developers in Copenhagen. You will be building software that hospitals around the world depend on every day, and you will be helping shape how a large software organization adopts AI. We have several positions open.
What you would be building
Getinge is a global MedTech company, and our teams in Copenhagen, Hamburg and Aarhus build software that runs at the heart of a modern hospital. Our solutions track surgical instruments through sterile reprocessing with full traceability, orchestrate fleets of robots and reprocessing equipment, plan and optimize the surgical day, coordinate patient flow and staff in real time, and keep thousands of connected medical devices running in the field.
Our software is mission-critical, deeply integrated with hospital IT and physical equipment, and built to a high standard of quality. It is also software where the impact is immediate and real: better use of an operating room, an instrument set that arrives on time, a surgery that goes ahead instead of being cancelled. Not everyone gets to end the week knowing their work helped someone get treated.
What we work with
Our teams work primarily in C#/.Net &Blazor, with focus on containerization and cloud deployment to Azure, across the organization that spans web and mobile applications, cloud services, real-time systems, and integration with physical equipment.
We are not looking for a checklist match for all of it. What matters is that you are strong in .NET, that you are comfortable working across a stack rather than in one corner of it, and that you pick new things up quickly. The exact mix varies by team, and we will find the right fit together.
Where we are with AI
We are currently in the process of accelerating our software factory with AI. Our teams have been exploring AI-assisted and agentic development processes for some time and are implementing our learnings. However, we are seeking additional fresh perspectives on the matter. This is where you come in.
If you have real experience here and strong opinions about what works, you will find both room to use them and colleagues who will argue back.
Our developers have access to the latest models and a meaningful budget for AI tooling and usage, and we are also looking at introducing new and improved methods and tools to improve our way of working.
What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain robust .NET services and applications for mission-critical hospital software.
- Build and integrate agentic AI capabilities – designing, orchestrating, and evaluating AI agents and LLM-driven workflows in our products and in how we work.
- Drive AI adoption in your team and across the organization, setting the standard for how modern tooling improves quality, speed, and value delivered.
- Contribute to system architecture, code quality, and engineering practices.
- Work closely with product owners, architects, UX/UI, and developers across multiple sites.
You will bring
- Strong .NET expertise – deep, hands-on experience building and maintaining production software in C# and modern .NET.
- Breadth and adaptability – you are happy to work across the stack and into the cloud, and you are not thrown by a technology you have not used before.
- Real depth with AI in practice – you use AI tools in your daily work, you are hands-on with agents and LLM-driven workflows, and you can point to things you have actually built with them. We care more about what you have done and how you think about it than about years on a CV.
- A proactive, positive, and constructive mindset – you take ownership from start to finish, communicate openly, and make the people around you better.
- The ability to build maintainable, high-quality solutions and to work independently as well as in a team.
Nice to have
- Experience with hardware–software integration, robotics, or embedded systems.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging, or distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile teams on regulated or safety-critical products.
What we offer
Getinge is a leading global provider of products and systems that improve healthcare quality and efficiency, with the ambition to be the most desired MedTech company in the world. You would join our Digital Health Solutions department, which counts around 165 people across Denmark, Germany, and the UK, plus a further 100 colleagues in Getinge offices globally.
- A smart working environment with shared desks, several work-from-home days per week, and a budget for your home office setup.
- Flexible working hours.
- Competitive benefits including health insurance and pension.
- Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.
- A collaborative, inclusive, and motivating culture.
