About the role
We're hiring a Senior Software Developer to build automations and production applications in TypeScript and
Node.js, on PaaS platforms and standard stacks. You'll own your work from design to release, inside a team that
plans in sprints and uses AI-assisted development every day.
This is a development role first. Platform experience helps, but we will teach you the platforms we use. What we
hire for is strong engineering, clear English, and disciplined task management.
What you'll do
- Build automations that connect the systems our customers run through their APIs: integrations, webhooks,
scheduled jobs, and data sync.
- Build and maintain production applications on PaaS platforms and on standard Node.js and TypeScript stacks.
- Take features from requirement to release inside sprints: design, code, tests, review, and deploy.
- Design solutions before you build them. Write short technical designs covering the data model, APIs, security and failure cases.
- Deliver custom builds and automations for our customers against an agreed scope and estimate.
- Reproduce and fix customer-reported defects, find the root cause, and write clear updates.
Review code and mentor trainee and junior developers.
- Help the team build shared Claude Code skills, commands, and workflows.
What you need
- 5+ years of professional software development.
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript, used in production.
- Node.js back-end experience: REST APIs, third-party integrations, authentication (OAuth 2.0, API tokens), and async processing.
- Docker: you build images, run multi-service setups locally, and use containers in CI.
- Git and a pull-request workflow, with code review on both sides.
- Automated testing with Jest, Vitest, or similar.
- Experience designing features and small systems end to end, and explaining the tradeoffs.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, including writing reusable skills, commands, or project instructions, and reviewing generated code critically.
- Experience working in sprints with Scrum or Kanban: estimating, breaking features into work items, and keeping status current.
- Strong task management. You plan your day, keep every task tied to a work item, log your time accurately, and flag risks before a deadline slips.
- English at C1 level or higher, written and spoken. You'll work directly with US customers.
- You live in Bogotá and can work on-site Monday to Thursday.
Nice to have
- Building and running apps on PaaS platforms (serverless runtimes, app frameworks, managed storage).
- Broad API experience: REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, and rate limits.
- Cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, and infrastructure as code.
- Web automation with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium.
- Python for scripting, data work, and automation.
- React, and CI/CD in GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience shipping and supporting a SaaS or marketplace app with a large user base.
- Cloud, security, or platform certifications
How we work
- Every task lives in a Jira work item with an estimate, an owner, and a current status.
- Sprints with planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Time is logged daily against the work item it belongs to.
- On-site Monday to Thursday, remote on Friday.
- All customer communication and documentation is in English
