Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with proven backend and front-end development experience. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and APIs along with test automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and build scalable service and API layers that power automated code modernisation and migration workflows Develop and maintain full stack web applications across both frontend and backend layers Build and maintain automated test suites to ensure code quality and reliability Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate requirements into well architected technical solutions Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code with a focus on performance and scalability Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full stack Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and system improvements Required Experience: Strong hands-on Python skills with a proven software engineering background Full stack capability across frontend and backend, including JavaScript and React Proficient in designing and building RESTful APIs and scalable service layers using Flask or FastAPI Solid background in building and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Comfortable working with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude as part of everyday development Familiarity with legacy system modernisation, code migration, or large scale transformation projects Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges Proven ability to work proactively, take ownership, and collaborate effectively in cross functional agile environments Desirable Experience: Hands-on with Kubernetes and containerised environments Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agentic AI tooling Working at ClearRoute We have grown from six founders to 180+ people across five countries in three years, and what sets us apart isn't the pace, it's how we grow.
