You will design, develop, enhance, and support robust REST-based APIs and modern applications while ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and security. You will serve as the technical counterpart to senior design stakeholders, ensuring that proposed user experience solutions are technically feasible, architecturally sound, and efficiently implementable. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between design vision and engineering execution. A key part of your role will involve taking ownership of solutions previously delivered by external contractors and establishing long-term internal capability. You will drive engineering excellence by implementing development standards, ensuring code quality, managing CI/CD pipelines, and promoting secure software delivery practices across the entire development lifecycle. You will collaborate with global teams, participate in architecture discussions, support integration activities, and contribute to strategic technology decisions that support DHL's digital transformation initiatives. Ready to embark on the journey? Here's what we are looking for: As a Senior Software Engineer , having strong experience in Java, Kotlin, React, React Native, and REST API development is a huge plus. Deep expertise in designing and implementing API-first architectures and enterprise-grade applications will be an integral part of this role. You are a technology enthusiast with: Required Qualifications & Experience 8+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong full-stack development expertise across backend and frontend technologies. Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating REST-based APIs. Strong hands-on experience with Java and Kotlin. Experience developing web and mobile applications using React and React Native. Solid knowledge of Oracle SQL and relational database concepts. Experience working with containerized platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable enterprise solutions. Experience managing source code and collaboration using GitHub. Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Knowledge of artifact management and dependency management using Artifactory. Quality, Security & Engineering Excellence Experience with application security scanning tools such as Checkmarx. Experience with code quality and governance platforms such as SonarQube. Strong focus on secure API design and enterprise-grade coding practices. Commitment to clean, maintainable, and high-quality software development. Experience implementing automated quality controls and secure delivery pipelines.
