We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the company’s Marketing Cloud Platform team in Tokyo.
The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience and a proven track record of designing and developing scalable microservices and distributed systems. You will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture design through development, testing, deployment, and DevOps/SRE.

About the Role
The Platform Engineering team is responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from early-stage requirements analysis and architecture design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to strategic engineering initiatives and help design and build the next generation of our marketing technology platform.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems. (Ideally, 7–8+ years of professional software development experience.)
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices architectures.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or C#. (Ideally, experience with Golang is preferred.)
- Strong hands-on experience with production operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with data engineering principles, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and working with large datasets.
- Extensive experience with distributed computing concepts and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with various database technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their relevant services for compute, storage, and data processing.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with multiple architectural patterns and design principles.
- Experience leading an engineering team, demonstrating proficiency in people management, project oversight, and cost management.
- Experience in the MarTech (Marketing Technology) industry.

Salary: ¥9M – ¥12M JPY per year (Senior Level)
Location: Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day remote)
