2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for backend-heavy product and platform development from design through production. This role involves building and scaling systems that handle billions of dollars in mortgage transactions, designing reliable distributed infrastructure to meet complex regulatory requirements, and utilizing modern AI coding tools while ensuring high standards of human review and accuracy. The position requires collaboration across product, infrastructure, and platform teams, contributing to architecture, system design, and engineering standards.

3. Responsibilities:

• Own backend product and platform work from design to production
• Build and scale systems supporting large mortgage transaction volumes
• Design distributed infrastructure compliant with regulatory requirements
• Use AI coding tools with rigorous human review for correctness
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and platform teams
• Contribute to architecture, system design, and engineering standards

4. Requirements:

• 3 to 10 years of backend-focused software engineering experience
• Experience in a product-focused software company with clear ownership and career progression
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, capable of solving coding problems independently
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems
• Strong product judgment and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a high-growth environment
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code
• Experience with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary ranging from $210,000 to $300,000 depending on level and experience
