We are seeking an autonomous, highly technical Senior Software Engineer to anchor our core engineering hub in Seoul, South Korea. In this mid-to-senior level role, you will lead the architectural design, development, and scaling of critical backend systems and user-facing infrastructure handling millions of daily active users.

Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Development: Design, write, and deploy robust, highly scalable, and secure full-stack or backend applications (typically using Java, Go, or Python/Node.js) capable of handling massive concurrency.
• Cross-Border Architectural Integration: Lead the localization, API refactoring, and integration of global codebases to ensure flawless performance and zero latency for both Western and APAC infrastructure.
• Technical Mentorship & Code Quality: Establish high engineering standards by conducting meticulous peer code reviews, optimizing continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines, and enforcing rigorous unit/integration testing methodologies.
• System Optimization & Scaling: Proactively identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks, optimize database querying frameworks, and engineer microservices to scale seamlessly across global cloud infrastructures (AWS/GCP).
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the technical liaison between global product managers and localized development pods, translating high-level business goals into scalable technical blueprints in both English and Korean.

Requirements

• Education & Engineering Literacy: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years of proven professional experience as a full-time software engineer, with a track record of building and shipping production-grade distributed systems.
• Language Fluency: Professional or native-level verbal and written proficiency in both Korean and English is mandatory. You must be entirely comfortable running technical sprint planning in English and mentoring localized teams in Korean.
• Core Technical Mastery: Deep, production-tested expertise in at least one core backend ecosystem (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Go, Python/Django, or Node.js/TypeScript) paired with expert command of data structures, system design patterns, and algorithms.
• Database & Cloud Ecosystems: Strong hands-on experience designing schemas and optimizing relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (Redis, MongoDB) databases within cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Location Comfort: Must be currently residing in South Korea or fully authorized to work in Seoul without requiring immediate initial relocation/visa processing (or eligible for standard F-series/E-series visa transfers).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a globally distributed engineering team or a multinational tech enterprise.
• Hands-on expertise with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and stream-processing infrastructure (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Practical familiarity with front-end architectures (React, Vue.js, or TypeScript) to seamlessly support full-stack engineering tracks.
