This is a hands-on development role where you'll influence technical decisions, contribute to modern architectures, and mentor junior engineers as you continue to grow your own skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and QA Engineers.
- Lead architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Review code and drive engineering best practices across the team.
- Troubleshoot, optimise and improve existing systems.
- Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience developing software using C#/.NET.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to microservices and distributed systems.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Frontend experience with Angular or React is advantageous.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale applications.
- 6+ years' commercial software development experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
- Based in South Africa.
- South African citizen or hold current PR.
