Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote – must be based in Ireland

Our client, a leading global healthcare technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join its Application R&D team. This is an opportunity to work on innovative healthcare solutions, collaborating with diverse technical teams to develop software that supports customers across the healthcare industry.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise-level healthcare solutions, working across both backend and frontend technologies. This role is suited to an experienced Java/Kotlin developer with full-stack engineering experience, particularly across Spring, REST APIs, TypeScript, Angular/React and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions supporting healthcare initiatives and customer requirements
• Develop enterprise-level applications using Java/Kotlin, Spring, MVC and PostgreSQL or similar technologies
• Develop full-stack solutions using TypeScript and Angular/React
• Build and enhance reactive web applications and reusable component libraries
• Develop and integrate services through REST APIs
• Contribute to solutions that address complex customer and healthcare requirements
• Support Application R&D teams in delivering high-quality software solutions
• Contribute innovative and creative approaches to software development and problem-solving
• Collaborate effectively with distributed software engineering teams and technical stakeholders
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to strong software testing and quality practices

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Java/Kotlin Enterprise Developer
• Strong experience with Spring, MVC and PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Full Stack Engineer
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Angular/React
• Experience developing reactive web applications and component libraries
• Proven experience developing and interfacing with services through REST APIs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed teams

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working within an Agile software development environment
• Strong experience with test automation
• Unit testing experience, including tools such as Karma and Jasmine
• Experience with cloud architectures and large-scale hosted applications, preferably AWS
• Experience within the healthcare industry
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) integration
