About the Company

A global bank is standing up its India technology and operations centre and has partnered with Flexiple to hire a senior software engineer to anchor its engineering team. You will own complex systems end to end and set the technical bar for the team around you. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build high-impact systems, lead technical decisions on your team, and mentor engineers earlier in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Ownership

• Design and build systems that are correct, scalable, and maintainable under real load
• Drive architecture and design decisions for your team's area of ownership
• Lead complex debugging efforts and production incident response

Mentorship & Collaboration

• Review code and design docs, raising the technical bar across the team
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on design, testing, and delivery practices
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to scope and sequence roadmap work

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5 to 10 years building and operating production systems at scale
• Strong system-design skills, including trade-offs around performance, reliability, and cost
• A track record of owning a system or service end to end, from design to on-call support
• Clear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small technical workstream
• Exposure to regulated or high-availability environments (finance, banking, payments)
• Familiarity with distributed-systems patterns (queues, caching, sharding)
