Senior Software Engineer – DevSecOps & Secure Software Engineering

Build and secure enterprise-level software platforms

We are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers with strong software engineering and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) experience to design, build and secure enterprise-level applications and platforms.

You will work across software engineering, DevSecOps and software supply chain security, helping to drive the adoption of secure development practices throughout the SDLC. You will play a key role in building scalable, cloud-native applications while embedding security and automation into the development and deployment lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Go, JavaScript, Java and/or Python.

• Build scalable, secure applications based on cloud-native architectures.

• Contribute to system design, technical strategy and architectural decisions.

• Lead code reviews and promote high standards of software engineering and secure coding.

• Evaluate and integrate appropriate open-source technologies.

• Design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines across the software development lifecycle.

• Integrate automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines, including code scanning and dependency analysis.

• Develop automation supporting continuous integration, testing and secure software deployments.

• Promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices across engineering teams.

• Champion and embed Secure Development Lifecycle practices throughout the organisation.

• Conduct threat modelling and security design reviews.

• Support the identification, prioritisation and remediation of software security findings.

• Contribute to improving software supply chain security and secure development practices.

• Work closely with engineering, security and platform teams to improve application reliability, scalability and security.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering.

• Strong hands-on software development experience with Go (Golang) and Java.

• Experience with JavaScript and/or Python development.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs and software design patterns.

• Extensive experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins.

• Strong knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices and secure coding principles.

• Experience with automated testing and software quality practices.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud-native development practices.

• Strong understanding of software supply chain security and DevSecOps principles.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across software engineering and security teams.
