DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Responsibilities:

  • Work within software development projects as a Senior Backend Engineer to build our next generation data platform supporting cash and self-service solutions.
  • Design and develop backend solutions in cooperation with business analysts, solution architects and other developers, with a focus on gathering data from multiple sources (e.g. APIs, flat files), transforming and consolidating data, and providing it to downstream systems and vendors.
  • Design, implement, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for backend services and platform components.
  • Actively contribute to improving the stability, scalability and reliability of developed solutions through bug fixing, performance optimization and increased test automation.
  • Ensure backend services are designed and operated according to production-grade standards, including security, monitoring, scalability and maintainability requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for software development-related topics, providing technical guidance and support to the team.


Skills:

  • Extensive professional experience and expert-level knowledge in backend application development using Java.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Spring Security.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity) and modern CI/CD pipeline design and implementation practices.
  • Strong experience with source code management using Git, Bitbucket and GitHub.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing and test automation frameworks.
  • Expert knowledge of API development and integration using REST and SOAP web services, YAML and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Expert knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes operations.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing frameworks such as Karate Framework and tools like Postman and SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk and Scribe.
  • Familiarity with Deutsche Bank internal platforms and tools, including DB-Fabric, DBnet3, ServiceNow and eCMS DM.
  • Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies and issue tracking tools such as JIRA and HP ALM.
  • Passion for learning and applying new backend technologies, frameworks and engineering practices.
  • Ability to quickly understand and work within large-scale distributed software systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively within Agile teams.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; German is a plus.
