About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER will lead the development of backend features, managing them from design through to production delivery. This role is crucial for building and scaling backend systems that handle high-volume mortgage transactions and meet complex regulatory demands. The position contributes directly to the reliability and effectiveness of the organization's mortgage servicing software.

Responsibilities:

• Own product features from design through implementation and production delivery.
• Build and scale backend systems for high-volume mortgage transactions.
• Utilize AI coding tools in development with human review of production code.
• Design infrastructure supporting complex regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams based on project needs.

Requirements:

• Three to ten years of software engineering experience with a backend focus in product-driven, high-growth technology settings.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, capable of problem-solving without AI assistance.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Regular use of AI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor.
• Clear career progression reflecting strong computer science fundamentals.
• Experience in mortgage servicing or related fintech is relevant.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range of $210,000 to $300,000 annually.
• Visa sponsorship is available.
