Senior Software Engineer

🚀 Hiring: Staff Software Engineer — Platform Team | AI & Marketing Technology

I’m recruiting for a growing B2B SaaS startup building AI-powered tools that help marketing teams analyze advertising performance, develop creative strategies, and automate their workflows.

We’re looking for a hands-on, backend-focused engineer who has built products from scratch and shipped customer-facing AI features into production.

📍 Remote — US, Canada, or Western Europe, with significant overlap with Eastern Time

💼 Full-time

💰 Salary: CA$200,000–CA$250,000 + stock options

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design and build reliable backend APIs, services, and product integrations.

• Develop features and infrastructure supporting customer-facing AI workflows.

• Build and scale third-party integrations, including advertising and marketing data sources.

• Improve system performance, data architecture, and developer experience.

• Work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to turn evolving requirements into shipped products.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of experience as a backend-focused engineer.

• A strong background at Series A–C startups, with recent experience in an AI-native or AI-forward company.

• Proven experience taking products from concept to launch, including AI features used by real customers.

• Strong backend API and third-party integration expertise; Meta API experience is particularly valuable.

• Clear communication skills and experience working directly with clients or non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfort building across the stack and adapting quickly as priorities evolve.

Node.js and TypeScript experience is preferred. Engineers from other stacks should demonstrate a strong track record of learning and switching technologies quickly.

Experience with asynchronous systems, message queues, MongoDB, data modeling, and ETL is valuable. Founder or founding engineer experience is a plus.
