About the Role
Join a customer-facing product engineering team building cloud and edge software for autonomous systems in high-stakes operational environments. You will develop the backend services and integrations that help users coordinate sensors, robotic platforms, and AI-enabled decision-making.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and optimize reliable software for mission-critical autonomous systems.
Build backend services and messaging systems that connect multiple external platforms and relay real-time data.
Develop software that processes data from diverse sensors for real-time state estimation and threat detection.
Integrate sensors, effectors, and autonomous platforms, including individual systems and coordinated groups.
Build LLM and AI-enabled tools that support threat assessment and operational decisions.
Partner with robotics, hardware, sensing, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
What We're Looking For
At least 4 years of hands-on backend or service-layer software engineering experience, including ownership of middleware, APIs, or microservices.
Strong proficiency in one or more of Rust, Python, C++, or Java, with experience in real-time data and messaging systems.
A degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Experience shipping software in a fast-moving prototype-to-field environment.
Background in autonomous systems, robotics, aviation, or other real-time systems is valuable; experience integrating LLMs, AI agents, or toolchains is also useful.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance are required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
